The Sahrawi women
participating in international exhibition of Venice, Italy
From the day 26 May 2016 a
delegation headed by the General Secretary of the National Union of Sahrawi
women attends the opening of the 15th edition of the international exhibition
of architecture and fine arts in Venice (Italy). It is the first that the Sadr
participates in this exhibition, the present Western Sahara through Saharawi
women and a project of Gallery which consists of upholstered and samples made
in collaboration with the artist and solidarity Manuel Herz
The exhibition has the
presence of 40 States from different parts of the world including Italy, France,
United States, Russia, Korea of the North, Venezuela, the Netherlands, Spain
and among others. The exhibition will show various offers of the attending
countries reflecting their experiences in the field of architecture and the
history of their communities and their cultures.
Carpet exhibition
presenting the Sadr are made by women in the camps for Sahrawi refugees, camps
of dignity. Also have a gallery of photos, maps, and videos that reflect
various aspects of the life of the Saharawi people and its struggle for
existence and a dignified life as a reflection of the different stages of the
fight of the Sahrawi people for 40 years, highlighting the most important
achievements of the Saharawi people, especially at the level of organization,
creativity and human development.
This exhibition will
continue over the coming months and year past had more than 300,000 visitors
during the period
