We began at the headquarters of the Socialist Party of Catalonia with the presence of delegates from women's organizations and of parties from different continents. This day highlights the opening by emotional intervention of former President of the ISM Dolors Renau of the catalan Socialist Party.

The meeting stands out for the constant concern of the Socialist International by the erosion of democratic principles in the current climate and seriously undermine the rights of women, the equality of gender and political participation.

This and other issues is are during the meeting and the Conference of the Socialist International general which will be held also in Barcelona the disa 24 and 25 November and will attend general secretaries of parties from different countries and continents.
