On the occasion of the international day of the woman, 8 March, which was organized in all parts of the world and that the Sahrawi women were represented in the demonstration in Madrid,

 A delegation of the National Union of Sahrawi women, composed of members of the Executive of the UNMS, representation of women in the occupied territories and the Diaspora women participated in the international strike on the occasion of the international day of the woman, 8 March, which was organized in all parts of the world and that the Sahrawi women were represented in the demonstration in Madrid, where more than half a million women took to the streets of the Spanish capital. The delegation of Sahrawi women joined in their cry to thousands of representatives of associations and organizations of women from around the world to claim the women's rights to equality between men and women. 



Friday and in collaboration with the network of support to women Sahrawi REDMAMSA and the Association Getafe with the Sahara "Dah Sid-Ahmed" in collaboration with the departments of women and equality of Madrid and Getafe respectively organized events with lectures and workshops in the framework of the international day of the 8 March women and REDMAMSA program #Objetivo2018 free #Sahara
Topics such as politics and human rights, Sahrawi enterprising woman, history and media and education and culture were the workshops conferences under the title of Sahrawi women EMPODERANDO developed during the two days of Friday and Saturday in Madrid and Getafe respectively.
Participants in the different workshops had the opportunity to know the experience of Sahrawi women and its contribution in the construction of the Saharawi State as well as the most important challenges facing as violations of human rights particularly in the occupied territories of Western Sahara by Morocco and the harsh conditions of exile in the refugee camps is the suffering of a whole people and requires an urgent solution to the conflict so that the Saharan people to exercise the right to freedom and independence.
Should be noted that the closure of both events culminated with an act of solidarity with Saharawi political prisoners in Moroccan prisons and a call to her immediate release from the regime of Morocco. The Act of solidarity is part of the international campaign for the release of political prisoners detained from the Group of student and all political prisoners in Moroccan jails and especially the Saharawi Group of Gdeim Izik.
